Navigating the Future: Dan Hunt Joins Us to Drive Innovation!
In December of last year, We added Dan Hunt as our CEO to lead us into the next era of furniture transport. He was formerly with America West where he served as Vice President of operations. He brings with him Rowland Branham, a logistics expert with 25 years of experience in the transportation business. C.W. Dillon will continue as Vice President of Operations.
“Murrow’s has been around for a long time,” Hunt told Furniture Today in a recent interview. “There’s been a lot of consolidation in the industry over the past few years. So as a result, there were lots of rumors about the company, and people had some concerns.
“They hired me, and I hired Rowland because I thought we needed a seasoned vet in the sales seat and product development,” Hunt said. “Jonathan Greene, the grandson of Fred Murrow, is fourth generation, and he’s really excited about being at Murrow’s full-time. He’s a great business development person as well but just young and inexperienced. To his credit, he wants to step up but says he needs a mentor. That mentor is Rowland.”

Hunt says Murrow’s is one of the “best-kept secrets.” Its strengths, he says, lie in service. “We have a big loyal customer base, but we haven’t done a good of a job at explaining to them what our real capabilities are. We want to deliver for them.”
